Marriage

This poem was specially written & dedicated to Harson & Cressida, for their memorable nuptials on 21-7-12.

Marriage.

Marriage is,
Marriage is not.

Marriage is a cup of hot tea during the rain,
Marriage is a glass of cold water in the desert,
It is the spices of our soup,
The seasoning of our food,
Truly, marriage is the flavor of life

Marriage is the rainbow during spring,
It is the colors of autumn,
Marriage is the snowflakes of winter,
And the rays of summer,
Surely, marriage is the colors of life.

Marriage is the smell of gardens,
It is the best of perfumes,
It's fragrance reaches to the innermost of our souls,
It tantalizes your emotions,
Yes, marriage is the aroma of life.

Marriage is listening to your favorite music,
It's owning the best speakers in the world,
Marriage brings forth songs of joy,
Marriage strums, hums, and tinkle,
Therefore, marriage is the tunes in life.

Marriage is feeling of the best silk,
It is softer than teddy bears,
It's touch mesmerizes your sensation,
Marriage is sensual in many ways,
I submit to you, marriage enriches your senses in life.

Selah.

Last but not least,
Perhaps the most important of them all,
Marriage is a covenant,
More than a promise,
More than a vow,
It is not living together,
It's becoming one,
Marriage is eternal,
Marriage is forever,
Meant not to change,
Always her and him,
Always him and her,
It is ethereal, forever beautiful,
It does not get old,
And even in death,
Marriage is and will always be marriage.
